Would you expect anything less than a comment from "The most opinionated guy on the Interwebs without a blog"?

I have always been fascinated by the way - for 200+ years - that our country has been able to transfer power in such a peaceful manner.

I can only congratulate President-Elect Obama and his supporters (which *MIGHT* include the Gordons...I haven't confirmed that, yet).

I am relieved that it wasn't even remotely close. I am a firm believer that, in 2000, if George W. Bush had won decisively, then we would have a lot less of the politcial turmoil that we have now. IMHO, people hate him less for his policies, than for the fact that he was "selected, not elected" and they have never gotten over that.

But I digress...

I love this country and its political system. I probably disagree with more of P.E. Obama's stances than I agree with. However, I pledge my support for him, as he was elected in a fair manner and it is my duty to do so.

But...I do reserve the right for the occasional "honest question" now and then...because that is also my duty.

Love,

Duke

Also,

his hand looks unusually large in this picture.
